Choo Mantar OTT Release: Sharan recently headlined a horror comedy which is currently running successfully in theatres. Released on 10th January 2025, this Kannada movie is directed by Navaneeth and has reportedly locked its OTT deal already. As per a Oneindia report, Choo Mantar will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run concludes.

Choo Mantar’s plot summary

Choo Mantar follows the story of four friends who journey to Nainital to investigate the mysterious Morgan House, believing it hides a secret treasure. The house was once owned by a British officer named George Morgan before India’s independence. As they explore, they encounter strange and sinister occurrences, realizing that the mansion is haunted by an evil presence.

The group includes Dynamo Gautham (Sharan), an exorcist and the leader of the team, who runs a business called ‘Choo Mantar and Co.’ with his three friends. Together, they decide to investigate the ghostly happenings at Morgan House, expecting to find treasure but instead becoming embroiled in a chilling supernatural mystery.

Choo Mantar’s review

The Times of India rated the film 2.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, “A mansion with a colonial past, a ghost, some good and some average jokes, and some eerie music that delivers shock value - Choo Mantar has it all, and that’s about it. It doesn’t stand out as something extraordinary. A predictable storyline hinders the plot to some extent. With a bit of suspense and plot twists here and there, Choo Mantar makes for a decent watch, if you are a horror genre fan.”

Produced by Tarun Shivappa under the Tarun Studios banner, Choo Mantar also stars Aditi Prabhudeva, Chikkanna, Meghana Gaonkar, Prabhu Mundkur, Rajani Bharadwaj, Gurukiran, Om Prakash Rao and Vijay Chendoor among others.
