Moonwalk OTT Release Date: Sibi Kuttappan recently headlined this Malayalam film alongside Anunath and Nainita Maria, which has finally found a digital home. The film arrived in theatres on 30th May 2025 and received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Now it is ready to leave a mark on OTT consumers. Moonwalk will be releasing on JioHotstar starting July 8, 2025.

Produced by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Listin Stephen and Jasni Ahmed, this Prashant Pillai musical is cinematographed by Ansar Shah. Other than the lead trio, Moonwalk also starred Rishi Kainikkara, Siddharth B., Sujith Prabhakar, Arjun Manilal, Manoj Moses, Appu Ashray, Sanjana Doos, Nainita Maria, Meenakshi Raveendran, Harshitha J Pisharody, Sreekant Murali, Thushara Pillai, Nikhil Sahapalan, Thonnackal Jayachandran, Mini I. G. and Prem Shankar among others.

Moonwalk’s plot overview

Moonwalk follows a group of young men from different backgrounds, different religions, castes, and income levels. Even though they’re united by their passion for dance (and chasing love), the differences are still very clear. Each of them has their own unique style and way of dressing, even if they don’t have much money. The film also shows how society judges people who don’t look or dress the way others expect, sometimes even getting them into trouble with the police, who assume they’re up to no good just because of how they look.

Moonwalk’s review

The Times of India rated the film 3.5 out of 5, and a part of their review read, “Moonwalk is a film that stands out with its theme, performances and simplicity. It can even be called a slice-of-life film, focusing primarily on how dance transforms the lives of a few young men and their families. One gripe with the film is how the local slang was overdone. Some dialogues, particularly during interactions among friends, felt repetitive and served little purpose. People in Trivandrum definitely don’t use "Oo" and "Thanne" so frequently in every conversation.”
