Just before Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan makes an unannounced move that has fans talking; here’s what we know
Ahead of his next film Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan will stream Taare Zameen Par for free on his new YouTube channel. However, the film will only be available for a week or two. The announcement was made during a recent fan meetup.

Aamir Khan has announced that Taare Zameen Par will soon be made available to watch online, but for a limited period. During a recent fan meetup event for the film, Khan confirmed that the 2007 classic will be streamed for free on his newly launched YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies, in the run-up to the release of its sequel Sitaare Zameen Par. However, viewers will only be able to access it for one to two weeks.
The announcement came at a fan meetup event
The decision to stream the film came after a fan brought up a scene involving a boat during the meetup. The fan had intended to show the clip but mentioned it wasn’t possible as the film wasn’t available on any digital platform. Responding to this, Aamir Khan acknowledged the issue and offered a solution on the spot.
“Ek kaam karte hai, I have started a YouTube channel called Aamir Khan Talkies. I’ll tell my team that let’s upload Taare Zameen Par there free of cost,” he said, adding, “It can be available for 1–2 weeks.”

Praise for Darsheel Safary’s performance
At the same event, Khan spoke about Darsheel Safary, who played the lead role of Ishaan in Taare Zameen Par. He shared an anecdote from the shoot, saying that Darsheel was very playful and often danced while the scenes were being explained. But Aamir Khan clarified that he never worried, as Darsheel understood every scene internally. “The moment we said action, he used to immediately switch to his character,” Khan noted.
