Jacob Fatu, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, and LA Knight locked horns in the opening match of WWE Backlash. The contest featured several intense and memorable moments as each man got in a fair deal of offence. All hell, however, eventually broke loose when ‘The Archer of Infamy’ pulled out the referee at a point where the Scottish star seemingly had the match won. Priest then hit his bitter rival with a chokeslam through outside the ring, taking both men out of the equation.

LA Knight eventually gained the upper hand and geared up to put Fatu through the announce table. However, Solo Sikoa interfered and saved ‘The Samoan Werewolf’. Jeff Cobb soon made his presence felt and assaulted Knight, and this allowed Jacob Fatu to pin ‘The Megastar’ and get the win.
